This week we will be learning about all the exciting things in nature. Our essential question is, "What excites us about Nature?" As we are reading we will be using the visualizing strategy to help us better comprehend the text. When your child is reading at home, be sure to encourage them to talk about what they are reading. It's important that they are thinking about their reading and making personal connections to the text.
This week in writing we are reading "Who Would Win" and using the facts we learn to write an informative paragraph about who would win in a battle. The goal is to have students use text evidence to back up their thinking.
In Math we are working on identifying halves, thirds, and fourths of a whole. With this concept, students will need to have a clear understanding of equal parts, rows, and columns. Please continue to practice math facts at home!
